Over summer break I will be participating in a micro-internship through the university career center! This will be the third micro-internship I am completing, and each time I have participated I have learned a great deal about the NZ workplace structure and environment. These internships give students the opportunity to work in small groups on a real issue presented by a company in NZ. In the past I have worked with the Auckland Council, Auckland Transport, and this summer I will be working on for a student graduate recruitment firm. I highly recommend this experience to any international students who are looking to connect with mentors and get a sense of what working in New Zealand is like. It is a great thing to add to your resume, and a low-stress way to get your foot in the door in the NZ work place 😃
